John Martin

John Martin is one of Australia’s most diverse, award-winning pianists. John has been playing professionally for more than twenty-five years in classical concerts through to jazz, popular music and cabaret. His warm personality and performance skills are legendary. He has become a regularly featured artist on Classic FM’s Breakfast, Drive and Thursday

A central part of John’s professional career has seen him accompany and mentor graduating vocalists, wind, brass and string instrumentalists through their public examination recitals and assessments. During his seven year residency at the Waldorf Hotel in London, John was acclaimed as one of England’s greatest cocktail pianists. He has recently toured as Miriam Margoyles’s accompanist in her personal journey ‘The Importance of Being Miriam’ and with Amanda Muggleton as accompanist for her show ‘The Men who Got Away -Thank God’. He also accompanied Amanda in Hans Christian Andersen’s ‘Wild Swans’ performed with music by Elena Kats- Chernin at the Sydney Opera House recently .
