12 May 2007 Just months before SOH Trust is due to reveal a $500M plus overhaul of the building, CEO Norman Gillespie, announced he will quit his job when his 5-years contract ends in September. Dr Gillespie’s departure is understood to relate to several issues, among them his relationship with Claire Swaffield, a chartered accountant with a degree in theology at the Opera House. In 2005, their relationship was reported to ICAC who referred the matter to an independent consultant who found no impropriety
